Prague

sunny 34 °C

We fit in a lot during our one day in Prague – doing over 31,000 steps!
We started the day off with a free walking tour of the 'old town' and 'Jewish quarter', and then did a paid walking tour of the castle in the evening.

Berlin

semi-overcast 23 °C

Berlin is a great city! It is really clean, easy to get around and has interesting history. We did a free walking tour that ended up being 5 hours instead of 3!

It was humbling to see the acknowledgement of the past through several tributes honouring the millions of people who were affected by World War II.

We spent a night in Athens before heading out on the ferry to Santorini. Santorini was one if the places I was most looking forward to because when mum and dad were here 25+ years ago - they said they were going to name there first child Santorini!

Sorrento/Capri

sunny 30 °C

Sorrento was a wonderful change of pace after our ‘High Energy’ tour. We changed our plans from staying in Naples for 3 nights (heard it was dodgy!) to stay in Sorrento for 2 nights. Mum and dad shouted us a couple nights at a cute apartment in the centre of town. Thanks mum and dad!! It was so nice to have air-conditioning, nice shower, real towels and a comfy bed! Compared to the heat wave, cold showers, and bunk beds we had been used to the past few weeks, it was heavenly!
